Levitation
Yowayowa is a Japanese photographer, her actual name is Natsumi Hayashi. She mainly photographs levitating self portraits. These are some of her photographs above
In this task I was required to respond to the work of YowaYowa and create my own versions of her levitation photographs.
I used a fast shutter speed and told my model to jump.

Levitation Homework:
I used what I've learnt in the lesson to respond further.
Zoom Blur
My intention was to respond to the zoom blur effect and create a photograph like one of Dominic Harris'.
I changed the focal length of the lense whilst the shutter was open.

www; I changed the iso to a lower number when the picture was too bright and took a few successful photos demonstrating zoom blur.
ebi; used my knowledge today to improve future photos.

These are 3 photographs that he has created:
Photoshop zoom blur:
For this task i was required to create a similar photograph to Dominic Harris' but using photoshop to achieve the zoom blur effect, i used the radial blur tool.
Movement of a figure.
Francesca Woodman:
Francesca Stern Woodman (April 3, 1958 – January 19, 1981) was an American photographer best known for her black and white pictures featuring either herself or female models.
Heres a slideshow i created showing the photos i took :)
I aimed to take and create a photograph like Francesca Woodman's where the figure was moving and the background was still.
For this task i told the model to move as it would create this effect.I also used a slow shutter speed.

Light Painting:
I created these photographs using a range of different light sources such as glowsticks and torches.
Final Pieces
1- i like this picture because of the long exposure used and how the sense of mystery it adds to the image. It also reminds me of one of Francessa Woodmans photographs.
|
2- I really like the positioning of the model and how the background blends into the face.
|
3- I find this photo interesting as you can see the models face and the blur.
|
4- I like this photo because of how the colours merge and compliment each other which is a metaphor for human compassion.
|
5- I think that this photo is good because of the use of negative space that emphases the blur.
|
6- i like the way that the tone starts darker and gets lighter as it goes to the left hand side.
